In the
last few decades many standard rules and measures have been taken to avoid
plagiarisms and many other false accumulations. According to me, these measures have both pros
and cons in it. We can avoid others stealing
our research data’s and publishing as their own work in many articles. We will
retain the ability to produce some unique works in our own field rather than
copying or submitting others works. There are also many cons in these measures
most frequently faced problem is about the quality of the article it doesn’t
mean by getting low number as impact factor his/her article has no quality.
There are many good articles which are published in a journal with low IF. Quality
depends on the effort or work we put on to it, not just by judging it with numbers.
These also create many psychological problems to scholars by comparing their
works with others.
NATURE
one of the reputed journal with impact factor 42.778 I still remember my
seniors who had published their articles in Nature and Science journals was
celebrated by the whole department and they were recognized by everyone in the
department for their work. At that time we were new to research hearing about
theses publication and recognition given to them was all we wanted to achieve.
But now, I’m realizing publication of our work matters than just numbers
judging them. If we work hard to achieve our goal, surely we will enjoy the
fruit of it.
